Spain 2026 — Public-holiday cheat sheet to build real long weekends (without wrecking work or prices)

Hola! I’m piecing together a 2026 Spain loop—Madrid for culture, Andalusia for sunshine, maybe a cheeky Balearic hop—and I want to plan around national public holidays. The goals: (1) mark “no-deploy” windows on our work roadmap so we don’t schedule trainings on closure days, (2) spot Friday/Monday “bridge” opportunities to turn midweek observances into proper 3–4 day breaks, and (3) lock trains/flights before the predictable surge. I’m looking for one clean, chronological, mobile-friendly list I can paste into our shared doc and annotate with PTO. Bonus if it’s simple enough for the “just give me the dates” crowd in my team. What’s your go-to reference?

We built our entire spring plan from this tidy rundown—dates are in order, zero fluff, and the bridge-day candidates practically glow on the screen. I copied the list into our calendar, tagged a couple of Mondays, and suddenly the Madrid → Córdoba → Seville loop fell into place without stepping on closures: holidays in spain.
